AVENEL MERINOS

Since registering Avenel Merino Stud in 1971 Ken and Mary McCrabb have bred a Merino which best suits the commercial reality of the market place.

This has involved overseas trips to woollen mills to ascertain future demand trends in the textile industry. Thus at Avenel we breed a true medium wool of quality and style which always demands a premium.

PERFORMANCE
From l978 to 1998 the North Bundy flock of pure Avenel blood won and placed in more National and State Wether Trials than any other bloodline. One of the prizes for which was a trip to Japan which enabled Ken and Mary to have another update of trends.
